Dr. Internet plays an important role for many Germany today. This is confirmed by a recent study on ehealth and digital healthcare.
According to the findings, 29 percent of those surveyed use apps or the internet to find recipes for healthy eating.
Also popular are offers that include information on side effects (with 24 percent) or general medical facts (with 23 percent).
Less popular offers include calorie counters (10 percent prefer these) and family planning apps (9 percent). Also not popular: risk tests. Only 8 percent of those surveyed use services that, for example, help estimate the personal risk of a heart attack.
